Some notes to get us started:
- The Yankees have signed VMI OF Matt Pita (12th round) to a $147,500 bonus, reports Jonathan Mayo. Slot money after the tenth round is $125,000. Pita counts as $22,500 against the bonus pool. Here’s our Bonus Pool Tracker. You can read about Pita in our Day Three draft recap.
- 3B Brandon Drury and RHP Cody Carroll were named to the Triple-A International League All-Star Game. Here’s the roster. I’m guessing this is not the All-Star team Drury and the Yankees had in mind this season. The Triple-A All-Star Game is July 11th in Columbus this year.
- OF Steven Sensley has been promoted to High-A Tampa, the team announced. Last year’s 12th round pick hit .277/.354/.498 (138 wRC+) with ten homers in 67 games for Low-A Charleston.
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (4-2 loss to Lehigh Valley)
- 3B Tyler Wade: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 CS — first start at third base since being sent down … I’m not sure he has the arm for the position, but might as well try it
- CF Clint Frazier: 0-4, 2 K — threw a runner out at second
- 1B Brandon Drury: 2-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K — second homer in four games

- RHP A.J. Cole: 0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 0 K, 1 WP — 14 of 26 pitches were strikes (54%) … I wouldn’t sweat the results … as long as he feels healthy and strong, that’s all that matters … he’s eligible to be activated off the disabled list in three days, so I bet he makes at least one more rehab appearance
- LHP Justus Sheffield: 6 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 WP, 7/4 GB/FB — 54 of 96 pitches were strikes (56%) … fifth time in nine Triple-A starts he’s allowed no more than one run … 82/33 K/BB in 72.2 innings
Double-A Trenton Thunder (8-5 win over Binghamton)
- CF Trey Amburgey: 1-5, 1 R
- SS Abi Avelino: 4-4, 4 R, 1 2B, 1 BB, 2 SB, 1 E (fielding) — dude’s up to .314/.366/.496 with 20 steals in 24 attempts in 73 games on the season

- 3B Gosuke Katoh: 0-3, 2 BB, 1 K

- 2B Hoy Jun Park: 3-4, 3 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI — 12-for-27 (.444) with one double, one triple, and two homers in his last seven games
- RHP Adonis Rosa: 3 IP, 9 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 2 HR, 2/1 GB/FB — 40 of 63 pitches were strikes (63%)
- LHP Trevor Lane: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 HR, 3/0 GB/FB — 14 of 22 pitches were strikes (64%)
Low-A Charleston RiverDogs (6-1 win over Rome)

The Short Season Staten Island Yankees and Rookie Pulaski Yankees both had scheduled off-days.
The Rookie GCL Yankees East had an off-day. The GCL added a team this year and now there are an odd number of teams in both the Northern Division and Southern Division, and since they don’t play intradivision games during the regular season, there will be one team with an off-day in each division every day. That’s what’s up with these new midweek off-days.
Rookie GCL Yankees West (6-4 win over GCL Blue Jays) they faced former Yankee LHP Matt Tracy, who signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays over the winter and is apparently rehabbing an injury in the GCL
- CF Antonio Cabello: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 K — the catcher-turned-outfielder is 10-for-25 (.400) with one double, two triples, one homer, three walks, and four strikeouts in seven GCL games
- C Anthony Seigler: 2-5, 1 R — this year’s first round pick is 4-for-13 (.308) through four games
- DH Roberto Chirinos: 1-5, 1 K
- RF Stanley Rosario: 2-4, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI — got picked off first and threw a runner out at second … 17-year-old signed for $300,000 last July 2nd and is 8-for-25 (.320) with one double, one triple, one homer, five walks, and four strikeouts in seven GCL games
- LF Brandon Lockridge: 1-2, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
- RHP Pedro Barrios: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 8/4 GB/FB — six-inning start in the GCL? those are pretty darn rare
